In keeping with its plan of internationalization, Son Prim is significantly increasing its exports to various European markets, and is one of the first Mallorcan wine estates to export wine to Denmark.

Son Prim will launch a new red wine in 2010. It will be a ‘coupage’, the winery’s first, made using Cabernet, Merlot and Manto Negro varietals. It will follow in the footsteps of our current red wines and follow our signature winemaking philosophy.

A new medal for the wine estate in 2009:  Silver Medal ‘Mundis Vini’ for our Merlot 06.

Son Prim Merlot 06 was the chosen red wine at the lunch held by the Council of Ministers on the 25th of July 2009 at Nautic Restaurant in Palma in the presence of the Spanish President, José Luis Rodriguez Zapatero.

During the current year, Son Prim exports to large European markets have been increasing steadily, both in quantity and business volume.

Son Prim received three medals:  silver medal for the Syrah 06, bronze medal for the Merlot 06, and a special commended prize for the Cabernet 06.
In this way we achieved maximum recognition for the winery’s hard work.
